This event is an informal, on-water class that continues on from what we teach in our Fly Fishing Basics clinics. We will review the necessary equipment, knots, and gear. Then we will work on casting on water (forward cast, roll cast, side cast), and practice changing out flies, organizing your gear, and feeling comfortable on the water. You just might catch some fish! After lunch, we'll dive into some more advanced tips and tricks to help you feel even more confident in your fly fishing skills! 

We will be joined by Karin Miller, owner of Zen Tenkara, so that you will have the option to learn with Tenkara rods as well!

This is a small class with no more than six people so that you can benefit from 1:1 instruction and have a more personal experience. Plus you get to learn at a beautiful venue on the Big Thompson River! BYO gear if you have it and adult beverages if you want them. We will provide lunch and all gear.
